The project addresses a highly complex area extending from the consolidated urban fabric to the peri-urban agricultural landscape. Although the site has a broadly uniform sports and educational vocation, the existing buildings appear fragmented and heterogeneous in terms of typology, orientation, and architectural identity. The proposal aims to regenerate and reconnect the entire area through new buildings, public spaces, and a system of functional and visual links defined by a coherent architectural language. A key unifying feature is the external structural grid, which becomes the project’s recognizable identity and is reinterpreted throughout the site as canopies, fences, protective elements, and walkway supports.

Area A, located within the more densely built urban context, accommodates a new multifunctional sports hall and the urban square in front of it, conceived as the central hub of the intervention and a place for access, gathering, and community life. The sports hall is designed to host a range of indoor activities while remaining flexible enough for cultural events and exhibitions. Area B, facing Via Circonvallazione Sud, acts as a transition between the urban fabric and the more natural landscape to the south, hosting a new urban-sports hub with civic, educational, and socio-cultural functions, as well as an accessible rooftop belvedere and an elevated public square above the existing parking area. Area C, at the edge of the agricultural landscape, is transformed into an equipped urban park with green spaces, pedestrian paths, playgrounds, a skate park, and an open-air arena for events and public activities.
